Patti

Patti and Mike both responded to a call from Bruce looking for a backup author for the lead article of one RGQ issue per week. After a long process, with both candidates seemingly equally qualified, Bruce was having difficulty choosing. Patti opted to make the decision easier by withdrawing her offer. However, that did not mean she did not wish to write for RGQ. Instead, she proposed what became Patti’s Parenthetical Past. She selected a subject for discussion based on the date of publication. She wrote about one thing that happened “On This Day” and added quotes to highlight the topic of the day.

About three years later, Bruce needed time off (for both good behavior and to market his energy system). At that time, Patti became the secondary writer of the lead article. Mike remained in charge of published the e-zine as well as writing the lead twice a week. When Patti started writing the lead, she also stopped writing her history pieces.

Patti maintains a blog called Little Bits of History where over a year’s worth of history essays are now posted. She also has a year’s worth of history pieces located at Examiner.com. She so loves both the sound of her voice and the look of her words, she also maintains a blog called Imperfect Reason, perfectly named.

She lives with her husband and their dog in South Carolina. They have four grandchildren – two grandsons and two granddaughters – all simply perfect. Patti works part time for two financial advisors as their secretary. She is also a world class Free Cell player, such is the sad state of her life. However pitiful that may seem, she enjoys her days, continues to love writing, and is grateful for the chance to write here on a weekly basis.
